Christopher was born August 17, 1986 and left this world on January 25, 2013. In those short twenty six years, he touched more people and their lives then he ever realized. He proudly served his country in the Army for five years, serving eighteen months in Iraq and one year in Korea. He was a proud Airborne MP. After leaving the Army he struggled with PTSD and was repeatedly rejected by the VA for assistance. He was haunted by the demons he got in Iraq and the physical pain he suffered daily from the injuries he received there. He never received any assistance from the VA, not counseling nor was he ever granted disability from the injuries he received.
He was an amazing son, brother, and friend, doing anything and everything for anyone whether it be his time, his labor, his money, or his smile, he always gave everything he had.
We will never know why he ended his life. I think he only wanted to end his pain, not leave his family and friends.
We will all miss his smile, his humor, his warmth for the rest of our days. His smile lit up a room with love and laughter, and our world will be forever dimmer without him.
Please share your stories, your pictures, your memories, or your pain with us. Let us all reach out to one another, in his memory.
